Uniforms & Grooming

Tiny Tot students (2.5 – 5 years) do not have a specific uniform requirement. We request that female students wear pink leather ballet shoes with tights or pink ballet socks and males wear black shoes and black socks. Females students should wear long hair away from the face in a neat pony tail or bun.

For students in Primary level and above, skirts, dresses and denim are not appropriate as they can restrict movement and technique development.

Watches, necklaces and bracelets should not be worn to class as they potentially cause distraction and injury.

Dance shoes should be put on upon arrival just outside the studio and taken off before leaving to keep shoes in excellent condition. Do not wear your shoes in the rain as this ruins the leather!

Students should carry their dancewear, shoes and other belongings in a dance bag, preferably with all items named.

Shoes must be professionally fitted and purchased from one of the following retail outlets. Other substitutes are not permitted.

Mention Radiance Dance Academy and your child's dance style and they will show you the correct items!

Tights

All tights are available for purchase at the Radiance online shop as well as Sue’s Shop, Ditto Dancewear & Bloch. Other substitutes are not permitted.

Tights are compulsory for performances for all female students for modesty reasons.

Perfomance MakeUp

All female students require non-smudge bright red stage lipstick - (Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink "Dancer")

Available at Radiance online shop, Cosmetic Plus, Priceline, Chemist Warehouse)

All other makeup is optional for students under 10 years of age. Students 10 years + are welcome to apply: foundation, blush, eye shadow, mascara, eyeliner.

Performance Team & Seniors: fake eyelashes are permitted for concert & eisteddfods.
